Girl Scout Collecting for Humane Society

Mandeville Elementary School's Browning Troop 453 is sponsoring a drive for the St. Tammany Humane Society. They are trying to achieve a Brownie Quest Award. They are asking for donations of dog and cat food, treats, toys, and bedding. Donations from the community help to keep this shelter operating. They are requesting the donations be left outside of your front door on the following day and time and a neighborhood girl scout will be by to collect them: April 16th (Thursday) at 6:00pm. Good luck Mandeville Elementary Brownies on getting your Brownie Quest Award.

Thefts in West St. Tammany Parish

Today each of you received a notice on your door informing you of the recent thefts in our surrounding area. A burglar has hit at least 60 vehicles in the past two weeks. It mainly consists of someone(s) stealing items out of unlocked cars. Subdivisions in our area targeted have been Del Sol, Madison Farms, Arbor Walk, Normandy Oaks and others. Please keep your vehicles locked. If you have noticed items missing from your car or have any information about the burglaries please contact the St. Tammany's Sheriff's Office Investigations Division at 985-276-1320. A St. Tammany Parish deputy did patrol Beau Arbre' this afternoon and stated that they have increased patrols in our area.

Welcome Beau Arbre' Neighbors

This site has been created with the goal of increasing communication between neighbors. As many of you know, a new board was elected in December of 2008 and we have been working to improve Beau Arbre' and ensure the legalities of our association as we move forward. Here are a few updates that everyone needs to be aware of:

1. Landscaping - As you drive into the subdivision the first sight you see is our two medians. Unfortunately, they are not pretty sights with weeds over running them. On Monday, March 9, pending additional plant arrival and acceptable weather conditions, Accent Landscaping of Covington will be updating both medians. They are removing the pompous "grass" plants and adding additional shrubbery, bushes, and annuals. In order to fund this, homeowners have agreed to cut the grass in the front of the subdivision, the medians, and the back of the subdivision for 6-8 months. Anyone interested in volunteering to help with grass cutting, please contact me at triciaru29@yahoo.com.

2. Dues - Dues are due. Everyone will be receiving their invoice this week. Please keep an eye open for it. If you have already paid please disregard your invoice. Dues are due by 3/31/09.

3. Updated Phone List - We are in the process of updating our phone list. We are going around getting updated information from each home with a signature giving the board permission to distribute your name, phone, and e-mail address to other homeowners in a printed phone list. If you have not completed the form please e-mail me at triciaru29@yahoo.com so we can get a new list out as soon as possible.

4. Rules and Covenants - If you attended our last general meeting you are aware of the "member vs. non-member" debate that ensued. We have obtained legal counsel to ensure that the Homeowners Association is a legal entity and to repair the contradictions in the rules and covenants. This is an ongoing process that we hope to resolve as simply and as quick as possible so that the Beau Arbre Homeowners Association can focus on improving and maintaining the neighborhood.

Our new board is as follows:
President - Tricia Ruiz
Vice President - Lloyd Magee
Secretary - Lisa Lebreton
Treasurer - Curt Keay
Board Member - John Herbert

Please see lthe ist of board members on the right side of this page with our e-mail addresses.

Thanks,
Tricia
